Answer:
Doing a second MBA will not help at all with job prospects unless you have a couple of years of work experience in between. You will come across to all employers as someone who "could not get a job with their masters so decided to stay in school and keep studying" and therefore not be employable. Its a myth that an MBA will get you a job in Australia - this is only true if you got your MBA after working a couple of years and saw how the MBA topics would help your business i.e. have real implications in mind for their teachings with each lecture. Just stying for the sake of studying without any real life experience in the FT job market in the area has no affect on your job application. Employers would prefer to employ someone with 5 years experience currently doing a TAFE Certificate in Management than someone with no experience and a MBA. Look around the class - 90% of the students are internationals who are looking to stay in Australia - perhaps 1-2 will get lucky (out of the 150 in the class) because they have several years job experience prior to getting their MBA. If you are just studying to get a job in Australia - you will be wasting your money.

The problem is that so many people have been trying to jump on the money train that MBAs have become a dime-a-dozen. Glutted market in most countries, especially for finance & accounting, marketing & HR. E.g. in the US, only 20% of recent MBAs have been able to find ANY job at all within a year after graduation. Salaries have dropped (some from $80k range to $26k-28k). And all the foreign students who did MBAs with those Americans were eliminated from the job competition because MBA is not "hi-tech" & not qualified for H1-b visa! The job market is getting about as difficult in more & more countries. In short, if you cannot get a job with a marketing MBA in your own country, forget about getting another MBA! Those who follow the money train always find the money train moves elsewhere. What are your real aptitudes, talents, interests, abilities, etc? What is your real mission & purpose in life? What's your real passion? Money-chasing never works in the end.
