Where should I study Veterinary Medicine?

I want to practice medicine in Russia, where should I study?

  • Hello, Right now, I am in my last year of high school. I live in Ontario, Canada and plan to go to med school, then do a (Pediatric) Neurology sub-specialty. So as it stands, I'm not sure where it would be best to study. I want to live in Russia, and I wanted to know 1. How far can someone get in the Medical industry in Russia with a Canadian MD? (UofT or Queens) If I spoke Russian( Russian Lang. & Lit. is a major of my planned BA if I stay). 2.Would it be better to study in Russia? I know they have good universities there, and some with English in the first 3 years, then to Russian. -If I do go, would you advise staying to do the Russian Lang. as a minor, so I still learn Elementary to Advanced russian. 4 years, but also good to maybe save up and make sure I'm ready to handle it. 3. How hard would you sat it is to get into a Russian program/school for medicine? What about post-grad, Specialty training? If I got an MD in Canada(UofT or Queens) and went to Russia for the specialty, would that be accepted? 4. I couldn't find much info on Neurology programs though. Any idea how long they are? I know Med school in Ru is 6 years, but how long are the specialty programs usually? Here they are 5 years for specialty, 4 for med, and 4 for Bachelors. Just a note, at the moment, I do not have the sciences for Russian school, I have Bio and English, not Physics and Chemistry but I could take an extra year to get them if it's worth it. I already have to take either summer school or an extra semester for a Co-op req. for a HS program, so it wouldn't be too much of a big problem. 5. If I did get my degree and license in Russia, how transferable is that by Canadian standards? If I wanted to come back, would I have to complete the programs again or would they stand proper? Anyway, hope you can help answer some of my questions.
