How much does an optical lab tech make?

If you are a lab tech and also studied radiology how much would you make?

• i want to study radiology and while i work i also want to study to be a lab tech so would i get paid more and also can you tell me a university in texas were i can study to be both radiologist and lab tech. thanks :)

  You wont have the time or stamina to do both. If you want to become a radiologist be prepared for a long and intensive course of study. Radiology deals with all the areas of medicine and training takes about 15 years. Take advanced high school courses in math and science & volunteering in a hospital is good experience. Enrol in college to take pre-med courses and take creative writing and communications as you need good verbal and written skills. Pass your med school exams by achieving excellent results in chemistry, organic chemistry, advanced biology and physics. Complete 5 years of residency. You will have to successfully diagnose gall stones, kidney stones, broken bones, torn ligaments, pneumonia, internal bleeding and cancer. Work hard and achieve excellent grades on your medical board exams & qualify for a fellowship programme - most take 1 - 2 years. You must get hands - on training in performing biopsies, draining abscessess, doing angioplasties and treating aneurysms.If you are still interested. Good Luck!
