What is being a student at NYU like?

Even though I'm graduating in December, I would like to know of NYU accepts student with a bachelor degree?

  • Currently I'm obtaining an international business degree but would like to seek a Finance and minor in math. I can try to apply for the MBA program but I don't feel like my school provided me with enough knowledge to be prepared for the MBA.

  • Answer:

NYU is a top-ranked school, and so is Stern, their business school. You need to be truly exceptional to have a chance to get in, and if you're not extremely well prepared, you wouldn't have a chance to stay in if you could ever get in. It's incredibly competitive! Getting another bachelor degree doesn't do much for you, either. A bum degree from a second (or third? fourth?) rate school does not get you into NYU for a second undergrad degree. Reevaluate what you really want, what you have achieved to date, and what you might be able to do with that. You might not be the caliber of student for big-time schools like Stern, Wharton, etc. On the other hand, you might do quite well with what you have at a smaller company in your own country instead of trying to beat the Big Boys in the international arena.
