At what age can someone study abroad in the U.S?

Hi, I was wondering at what age can someone study abroad in the U.S? Also what would you have to do if you wanted to study abroad? And How much would lets say a trip to Germany cost someone to study abroad over there? Plus what are some good and bad points about teenagers studying abroad? Sorry I'm asking aplenty of questions, I am doing a Persuasive Essay on If all students should study abroad.. Please and thank you:)

Answer:
Depends on the program you go through! Some start as early as 7th grade, most are highschool, and a lot send highschool juniors. I'm going to Austria next year! The cost also depends on the program, so require you to pay for everything, others are more cost efficient! I'm going through Rotary which is the best. Specifically you asked for Germany, for a year through Rotary its roughly $4000 to study there for a year, it also depends on optional trips, and where, and you can't forget the exchange rate between USD and Euros. If you can handle it I'd say there are no bad points to studying abroad; you learn about a new culture, meet plenty of new people, I could make a huge long list you want any help just email me lol. Bad things, I can't think of any except homesickness.

Man, I`d like to know too. But here it says you have to be 17. I`d love to go to Japan or Korea and spend a full school year there~ Last year we had a meeting about something like that in French class. Good things would obviously be a new cultural experience, learning a new language and making/meeting new and interesting friends/people. Some bad things I can`t really think of. Maybe being homesick or a bit afraid/nervous/lost in a completley new country? My little sister loves Germany. She wants to marry a german guy and live there. lol And I heard prices can be from around 2 to 3 thousand or so dollars~ I dunno. I`m looking into this whole thing seriously. I want to go to Asia and study there for a year c:
