Where to go in the UK?

Hello UK People. I am coming for a visit. Where should I go, what should I do?

  • I have been given carte blanche, so to speak. My friend said I should stay at some classy, traditional place but I was thinking some place cool like the Pavilion Hotel. I want to take the Jack the Ripper tour and the Harry Potter tour (if such a thing exists). I want to see the palaces and public houses and that glass dome (is it the Millenium Center?) and the Parliament building and Big Ben and that big Ferris Wheel. I want to go to Blackpool and Dover and Stongehenge and that other thing that is just like Stonehenge. I want to go to the Beatles' studio place (with the crosswalk) and the flea markets and wherever they film James Bond. Should I wait for the Olympics? Should I go when the Highland Games happen (whenever that is)? I am not too interested in the Royal Weddings, but I wish them the best. I want to go to the Jo Malone store. I want to go to the theaters and the bigger productions and smaller, local productions interest me. I would like to see more of Ireland and Scotland too. I want to see it all and do it all. I have a month to stay. I can spend as much as I want. Name any well-known or NOT SO WELL KNOWN places you can think of to go or visit. I like small "dives" to eat in. I am excited about Indian food....there isn't so much of it where I am from. I have only been to various places in the U.S. and Thailand and Mexico. Thank you so much.

Hey, I live not so far away from Belfast. Ahhh... yea I don't understand why you would want to come here for your holidays as I would rather be anywhere but here lol. I am working to get away! But don't let me put you off ;) In Northern Ireland, Belfast is good for shopping and you should visit a place called Victoria Square (big, cool shopping centre with glass all around it for viewing out). The city hall might be of interest to you but I'm not sure because it doesn't make an impression on me. Other than that... there's plenty of cinemas and leisure centres. I am a tennis coach if you are wanting lessons lol. In England, there is a lot more to see, and you are aware of these places already. Scotland is hella boring.

I have been to the UK many times, i must say London is a bit of a toilet. Scotland is nicer than England.

A friend of mine went to London recently she said the Tower of London was an amazing place to visit. I'd love to go myself it has so much history just being there and seeing it in real life would be overwhelming! Harry Potter tour also sounds amazing! But I doubt there is one since most of the locations they shot at are very far apart.

Where Is The Love Button?

Come to Blackpool, and whilst there, go on the big wheel there, go up the tower, visit bloomfield road, marvel at the stuff in ripleys outside the pleasure beach, get a fish and chip dinner in the cottage, also go to York for the shambles and jorvic centre, manchester, liverpool, newcastle, edinburgh, glasgow, all great places too, but can't see a month being long enough to do it.
