• Hello, all. my last name comes from the Scottish Gaelic language. I am Scottish American, but I'm also a whole bunch of other stuff (mostly Slavic and Eastern German). all European, though. anyway, I've alwayse hated my nose. I met German people, and I told them that I was part German. they told me that I didn't look it, because of my large nose. the same went for Poles I met. But, I was watching Scottish people on BBC America the other day, and I said to myself "look at their noses". I look Scottish! I was so happy to find that I DO resemble a Scottish person. I know this sounds really stupid, but it's bugges me for years. I want to look like my roots. and I look Scottish. so, how old is the country of Scotland? do they still speak Scottish Gaelic? how can I learn more about Scottish culture?

If you look around you'll probably find Gaelic culture festivals near where you live.
