Why do my Brown eyes turn Blue?

I'm an african american teen my eyes are brown but they turn light light blue sometimes. Last year (in a different school) someone asked me why are your eyes blue, I thought he was just messing with me so i ignored. But then the next day (in a different school) i looked in the mirror and they were blue. And then today that same incident happened where a different person asked me why are your eyes blue and then the girl beside her asked too, so its not just one person saying it. And this happens alot, so is it possible?
