What is up with anti-Asian ads I saw yesterday on Obama's SOTU speech when I was in the hotel?

Most of the guys were Malaysian and all were Asian Americans in the ad shot in the DC area. Anyway, Congress is Republican dominated and has more power, so those ads weren't really necessary.
