What to do in NY on the 4th of July during the day?

What did you Latinos/Blacks do for the 4th of July?

  • I drove up to upstate NY across the Bear mountain bridge this 4th of July, and along the way I passed a TON of black people and latinos parked on the highway (and at some points crossing the highway into the woods). I really wanted to slow down and ask what they were doing, but I was late already. Anyway, do any of you know what was going on? Is it some kind of tradition to hang out in the woods on independence day?

I went down to the post and celebrated with fellow veterans and soldiers that all fought for the freedom of this country. Actually there was a lot of black soldiers and veterans too. We all had a good time and prayed for the well being of those that are still fighting for your freedom and mine

The blacks probably went in the woods to steal walnuts from squirrels and the latinos are probably crossing illegally into canada.

Hmm. First one of my crack dealer daddies came by to our house in the Ghetto. Then I got dressed up in my baggy pants. Then I made red and blue Kool-aid and stole some fried chicken from KFC. Then I stole a car and watched the fireworks while eating watermelon. Is that what you wanted to hear? Is that really what you think black people do? Actually, I come from an upper class family and we threw a great party. We had champagne, caterers, and fireworks in my backyard. It was fun :) We flew some family to our home and had a great time.

I celebrated with my cousins, got drunk with tequila shots and had a great time!!! I love America!!! god bless.
