I am a college student looking for change.

What is the best way to look for a job? Online applications or Going in and asking them for an application?

  • I'm a college student and just looking for some spending change. I know when I went to Wal-Mart, they told me to go sit down and do an application at a little computer there that I could have also did at home. When looking for a job at some grocery store, wal-mart/target/k-mart, type of store, etc.....is it best to apply online or go in and ask for an application??? Does it make a difference???

  • Answer:

Even if a company isn't hiring, if it's in a field you like, have an "informational interview" with them to get your name out there. Yes, go to the store. If they ACCEPT online applications, do it.

lol try going in and asking for an application... see what they tell you. There's no such thing as applying in person anymore. It's all online. (yet we still need affirmative action for some reason...)
