What is the big deal with being a sellout?

What would it take for you to be a sellout? Im not going to get into the whole "sellout" term, you know if you are being one or not. A good job? Fame? Fortune? A new car? A happy future for your family? I hear people saying that term quite often and I have no idea of the importance of it. I would sellout for a cheeseburger if I was hungry. And not feel bad at all. I have no true roots in anything...The whole idea of "sellout" to me just says right from the start you live your life for others opinions of you.
