How can I ask the more reserved and detached kind of guy out?

• Hey guys, I like this guy but he seems very detached...it's hard to explain how he is really. I really like him, he's very handsome and from the little I've spoken to him- very down to earth, sweet, kind and friendly. I know he's gay too, but he never seems to go out with any guys, I know people have asked him out- very good looking guys, the kind most people couldn't resist going out with- but he always says no to them :/ He's very hardworking, I know him from work. Everyone seems to like him, he's charming but in a quiet and placid way. I love talking to him but there's something mysterious about him. He does seem to like me in the friendly kind of way even though he doesn't really know me to well. I love him. I want to ask him out but how do I go about it...how can I get this kind of guys attention?? I'm a guy to, just to remind you

  Why don't you just be honest with him? Walk up to him and say, "Hey, I have seen you turn down other pretty amazing looking guys, and well you know... I would love to go out with you sometime because you seem like such a sweet and genuine person. I felt a little odd asking you since I know you turned those other guys down, but I was hoping you would give me a chance and maybe we can grab some coffee and talk sometime?" It's always refreshing to be honest, and he would likely be flattered by something like this. Try it! You say you know he is gay for sure, so there is no pressure except the limitations you place upon yourself!
