What age do you think is the right age for people to start having sex?

It depends on the person really. Some young teens are very mature for their age and I'm not the genital police so if they can handle it they can go ahead. It's best to wait until everyone has reached the legal age of consent in your area so no angry parents can call the cops if they find out. I started at 16 and that was fine by me.

You need to be married. Drinking and smoking make you have a shorter life expectancy.

omg drinks ans smokes at 13! she porobably is having sex or doing something with guys then.... i think ppl should be like 17 when they have sex. i have a lil sister to! shes gonna be 15 in 2 dyas! i worry that she does things to! i guess you should just ask her about it and tell her that she should wait till shes older to have sex.......

help how ? how can i know if your sister is having sex i do not know her. the best person to talk to is your sister, tell her that a lot of people her age say they have done this and that but most of them are lying explain to her the dangers of having sex at a young age and then all you can do is put your trust and faith in her to do the right thing

she might already have. but just because she hangs out with people like that don't necessary means she has already i do not believe their is any age limit people just have sex when they think they are ready or younger people have sex just for the fun of it or because they are drunk and stuff.

I feel that is has to do with the nature of the intimate relationship and the maturity of the people, not age. As a rule, 16 is generally an "acceptable" age (it's the age of consent) however I know a lot of 16 year olds who are far from mature enough to be having sex. Likewise, I know many 14 and 15 year olds who are in committed relationships who are very mature who I trust with making right choices such as always using protection, talking about it with their partner, and generally being safe and responsible. For me, I've never had "straight sex" (penis in vagina) but I have had lesbian sex with my ftm boyfriend (who still has a vagina) who I have been with for a 1 3/4 years, and plan on being with for quite a while to come. I am 15, he is 16, and we've been going out since I was 13 and he 14. I think that you know your sister the best. If she is easily influenced by others (I feel that she is since you said she drinks and smokes) she has probably done something, if not had full on sex. You should talk to her, you are her sister and you can help her without bringing in the parents. You can help her by making sure she understands safe sex and being safe and she can come to you with questions or if she needs condoms (if she isn't going to stop having sex at least she can be safe about it), and if you can drive, you can tell her that if she is ever drunk and can't get a safe ride home, she can always call you. Make sure she understands that if she is sexually active, she should always treat her body like she is pregnant even if she is using protection, which means she shouldn't smoke or drink because if she IS pregnant it can harm the baby.
