How to be outgoing and friendly around people you don't know?

I'm kind of quiet when I'm around people I don't really know, but when I'm with my friends I'm really fun and outgoing. I'm going on a fraternity date night with this guy I know, how can I be outgoing and not e awkward since they'll all know each other but I won't? It's going to be a 2 hour car ride and I don't want them to think I'm boring or anything...
