How to tell someone you are not interested?

How do you tell someone that you aren't interested?

• My friend (a straight male) and I hung out with another friend of ours last week. This other friend constantly hugged, hit, pushed. and basically would not keep his hands off my friend. He also kept bringing up his sexual escapades with other guys and made comments about my friend such as him having a "whorish mouth," or criticizing his shirt and trying to take it off of him. This person doesn't seem to get a clue. The more he was told to give some space, the more he clung to my friend. It got to be very uncomfortable for both of us (more so him being constantly touched by someone we don't know very well.) We purposely arranged it so that I sat or stood between them, and at one point I pushed my friend in order to get him out from under the other friend's arm. I am there as a bodyguard because my friend is borderline threatened by this behavior. (A simmilar thing happened with a girl we know, so it's not a homophobic thing at all.) So, what do we do when someone just won't take a hint?
