What is a mono watt amp?

Can i run a 4 channel 1000 watt 100 watts@ 4 ohm amp with a mono d 1000 @ 1 ohm both on 90 amp alternator?

• i have a 4 channel 1000 watt power acustic 100 watt @ 4 ohms amp and want to add a 1000 watt @ 1 ohm mono block amp that puts out 475 watts at 4 ohms to power my 2 12 inch 1600 watt lazar subwoofers both at the same time . can my stock alternator which is 90 amp handle both amps with out any problems

  it should be fine, i ran a 1500 watt rms amp off my stock subaru impreza outback sport 90 amp alternator, but it dims alot, are you listing the peak power or the rms power of those amps? , the fact you listed your lanzar subs at 1600 makes me think you are listing max if those are max values you should be fine if they are rms then you will need to get a bigger alt or some more batts
