Where is the power wire on a 94 Suburban?

Amp install routing power wire through firewall?

  • I have a 94 accord and i am trying to route the power wire through the firewall. I have already found the grommet (right behind the clutch). I pulled out the grommet and started putting the wire in. It didn't go far and i couldn't seem to find out where it was coming out. So then i drilled a hole through where the grommet hole was going. And started putting the wire in again. And it was going through pretty easily but i still can not find where the wire is coming out. I check from the top and the bottom of the car. Flashlight and everything. Ive searched the net and have read you can follow the engine cords through the fire wall, but why would i need to when i see the grommet whole. This may be a noob question. But this is my first amp install and this is getting frustrating, this is pretty much the last thing i have to do besides the ground wire.

  • Answer:

i put my wire through where all the other wire's go through the firewall, mine was on the driver side under the dash.

if your car is right hand drive look in the passengers side of the firewall, there should be a big bunch of wires running through a hole in that side, try running it throught there it will be alot easier and will fit throught with the aid of a screwdriver, hope that helps
