The difference between a Hybrid Capacitor and a Digital Capacitor?

Does capacitor brand make a difference?

  • I drive an 08 Toyota Corolla and I've got 2 10" kicker comp's with a 500.1 V rms Crunch amp. When my subs hit hard, my lights will dim and from what I've heard, that is a potential problem. The logical solution seems to be to get a capacitor. What I want to know is: should I get a capacitor or something else? If so, does the different brands of capacitors really make much of a difference, or should I just get the cheapest one? What size should I get? Really, I just want the most economical decision. THANKS!

Capacitors don't really make much of a difference. You should first upgrade your stock battery and alternator and if you still have problems with your lights then get a capacitor. For your setup you should only need like a 1-2 farid capacitor, brand don't matter to much but i have heard good things about power Acoustik
