Can you use a Dual Channel amp for one speeker?

Im wondering if a 4000 watt 4 channel amp can be run with my 2 12s and i can not use the other 2 channels yet?

    Nope you have to use all channels to run 2 subs on a 4 channel amp. Each set of 2 channels has to be bridged to one sub.
