2 pioneer premier champion series 1200w subs & 2000w power acoustik amp?
-
Ok so I have the 2 subs and together they can push 2400w and I only have a 2000w amp. So I would think I'm 400w short on the amp to make my subs hit all the way. But I'm told I can make my subs hit as hard as they can because the amp doesn't go off how much watts the subs have. Is this true? Would I be able to turn my subs all the way up even though I'm 400w short?

Answer:
The question is, are they 2400 peak or rms, and the same with the amp. I used to own a 2000 watt power acoustik amp. Said it right on the front 2000 watts. But really only did about 900. Peak power doesn't mean anything, so find out the rms of both.
