Car speakers stopped working on drivers side! any ideas?

I have a 2001 mercury cougar and the right side speakers stopped working what could be the problem?

  • i still have the factory radio and speakers in my car the the front and rear speakers went out and don't work at all

    well that's the problem u still have the factory radio and speakers. if u played it to loud u prob have blown the speakers and need new ones or maybe u have the switch to only work on one side of the car. if replacing the speakers don't work get a new radio

u blew your speakers out...or u have a lose wire but most likely u blew them out....u have to get new ones its not hard to fix
