How to hook up my subs?

I'm hooking up 2 amps to 2 subs.how do I hook up my rca cables?

  • Okay I have 2 Memphis 15s on a Memphis 500 D.here recently I've decided I wanna amp both subs so (due to short of $) I bought a pyramid 600 watt amp.I used a distribution block and hooked everything up.problem is I'm not so sure about how to hook up the RCA cables? I've tried different ways but something just dint sound right..like 1 subs getting too much power or they're clipping at low volume. I know everything else is hooked up right so how do I hook up the RCA cables? And by the way I bridged the sub that's hooked up to the pyramid amp.plz help!! Thanks

  • Answer:

you either need a cap or distribution block, running the main cable to the cap or distribution first than running 2 different cable for the cap or distribution block. put into power, Y-adopter 2 of those running from each output on 2 amplifiers, remote wire easiest way connecting the HU to the first amplifier than to the 2nd amplifier. Is hard to explain, but if you see the picture is ever easy of doing it.

the problem is the amps are different. That pyramid only makes about 200 watts REAL power. Also you should be running 1/0 gauge power wire from the battery, and 4 gauge to the amps. How are the subs wired? Are both amps stable at the same ohm? Too many variables.
