How much wood do I need to make a subwoofer box?

I just bought a Hiphonics 12" 1200 watt subwoofer and i need to know what kinda wood to use to make a box.?

I would also like to know how many cubic feet of space my box needs to be to get awesome performance out of my sub.
Answer:

3/4" MDF make it ported Dimensions: H=15" L=16 D=13-15 Port= L=6" Diameter= 3-4" make the box 3 cubic ft
