How should i wire 2 subs to a mono amp?

i have a Pioneer 1200 watt amp 600 RMS for 2 OHM a DVC Pioneer 2 ohm sub 1000 watt max 350~watt RMS Right now its set up, but the amp is way overpowering the sub, I am buying another sub, but im not sure if i need another DVC 2 OHM or can i get a single coil 4 OHM? How would i wire it?

well like nick said, bridge them. the way i have done it was run the positive output to the positive on each sub and the negative output to negative on each. I have never had any problems with that so give it a try and see how it goes. I hope this helps and good luck
