How do i wire my 4ohm dvc sub to 4 ohms?

  • i have a kenwood kac929 and a l7 that is 4 ohm dvc. ive searched but they only wire it up to 8 ohms and 2 and i had it wired 1 ohms. i would like to wire it 2 ohms but dont want to blow the amp or what not. what should i do?

    Whats the brand of sub? I had a pair of dvc but i coulded wire them 4 ohms each than bridged them and got 2 ohms at the amp. You dont wanna go below the amps rated ohm and its stable at 2 ohms bridged 929 kac..

Ok, 1 DVC 4ohm sub can only be wired to either 2ohms or 8ohms. Not possible to wire it to 1ohm. If your amp is 2ohm stable, which most are, just go with that. But that amp is not giving that L7 nearly enough power. You should get another amp. Something with at least 600watts rms @2ohms would do.
