What do I need to complete system?

What do i need to complete my sound system installation?

  • Alright i have a 2009 Silverado Crew Cab first off. I called my local install store because i was curious at how much it would run me to install my DVD deck, 2 10" subs, and my amp. They quoted me 800-900$. They said that in order to install the DVD Deck (Pioneer AVIC-x910bt) that i need to buy a new module so that my stock bose sound system, steering wheel, navigation, bluetooth, and rear seat controls work. Is this correct? What exactly do i need to install my DVD deck so that all those things work? Or was the shop just trying to rip me off? My system; Pioneer AVIC-x910bt Head Unit Two 10w3v3-4 Subwoofers Kenwood KAC-9104D Class D amplifer DB Link Amp installation Kit Dual Downfire sub box enclosure SHOULD I GET A CAP?? THANKS SO MUCH!

  • Answer:

Good call on the amp. Just got the exact model for a friend. They are probably right on the deck. Did your stock wiring harness deliver video? Noo. I would ask what they are charging for each thing and possibly try other places because that seems cheap. BestBuy will install stuff for less than that. Absolutely do not get a cap. I got one. Biggest waste of $250 in my entire life. I had to take it out because it kept killing my amp fuses. You shouldn't have trouble power wise with that amp.
