How good are MB Quart Subs?

• I was looking for a Shallow Mount Sub, and noticed most of the Brands I would normally go with are pricey, (JL, Rockford, Alpine), and I don't want to invest the money I have in the past in to this system. I ran across the MB Quart Reference RLP304 12" Flat Woofer 600 Watts Maxx 300 Watts RMS and the price is right. I know that MB Quart is a respected name and Im not looking to shake my car anymore just to round out the sound of my components. I just don't want to buy crap and there aren't alot of reviews out there on this sub.

  MB Quart is one of the brand names owned by Maxxonics which also includes Hifonics, Autotek, and Crunch. Many of their products seem to be at the low end of car audio, both in quality and price. Perhaps that's why you aren't finding many reviews. At any rate, there are some pretty good shallow-mount subs near the same price as the RLP304's. Pioneer and Kicker, for example. I'd really recommend that you consider that the Rockford-Fosgate P3 Shallow (P3SD212 or P3SD412).
