What Kind Of Amplifier Do You Think I Will Need?

• I'm usually good with all of the system questions and stuff, but I still find it difficult to understand exactly how the electrical components add up and what the difference between 2 ohm and 4 ohm is. What's the difference between dual voice coils, and it's compliment? Mainly, what I want to try and better understand and learn is how to determine what amplifier is needed to support which subwoofer's? I always have similar questions, and I'm often asked similar questions. However, despite it being explained to me a few times, I still don't entirely grasp it. Is there a math equation or what? How do I determine whether or not the amplifier I have will support a certain pair of subwoofer's or not? My other main question is if anyone is able to explain the above, could you also help clarify what size amplifier, or if more than one would be needed to power Two 12' "Kicker CVX's." I have an "Alpine V-Power MRP-M500" Amplifier right now and it's been driving Two 12' "Kicker CVR's" for about 2 years now. I'm almost positive that that amplifier wouldn't be able to viably support 2 12' "Kicker CVX's" but what about 2 of those amplifiers? Would one amplifier for each subwoofer suffice? I'd appreciate any attempt at helping me Thanks In Advance

  Your amplifier will neither have an output impedance of 2 ohms nor of 4 ohms.
