What amp do i need for dual 12 inch sub-woofer?

I need help with my subs/amp installation? Easy 10 points please help!!!?

  • I have a boss bv9972 head unit (radio) 2 mtx audio 12 inch subs in the terminator sub enclosure (by the way the terminals on my subs are really weird their silver and in the shape of a cylinder and it has two holes on it and im not sure where tou plug the wires in on em) i have a 1000 watt sony xplod amp i ran my power cable to the postive terminal on my battery and it has a 100 amo in line fuse on the wire i have the baterry power cable hooked up to the amp on the positive i used a smaller wire for the negative which i ran to the floor under the seat bracket i ran the remote wire to the solid blue wire on my head unit i ran my rcas and power cable on the driveer side and the remote wire on the passenger side when i turn the car on (not started just the battery on) and when i play music my subs arent making sound my amps getting power i tested the wires and its getting power i dont know if maybe i put the wires in the subs terminals wrong how can i figure out whats wrongplease help i dont know whats wrong also on my head unit it has one brown rca that says subwoofer output and theres 2 yellow rcas and one red and one white i dont know what to plugit in to andon my amp the rca ports say left and right what do i do please help thankyou easy 10 points all mywiring is made by scosche and my power wire is big lig a battery wire i think its 4 gauge and i used a speaker wire for ground I especially need help on where to connect my RCA's

    First and First your ground wire should be a heavy gauge wire the thin speaker wire is no good it will cause problems. Your Instructions: There should be a remote turn on connection and a power connection to your amp. The power comes from the battery and the remote turn on is from the radio. On the back of the radio where you have the Red and the White RCA connection you need to plug in the RCA cable and then run it to the left/right on the RCA INPUT connection to the amp. If the connections are colored on the amp (usually red/black) connect Red to Red and White to Black or just connect Red to left and White to right. From the Amp to the Subs you should have your speaker wire running from each channel of the amp to one terminal on the subs. It sounds like the only problem you are having is the RCA connection from the Radio to the Amp just connect those and you should have bass.

so if your amp is getting power then it must either be your speaker wire that ain't connected right or ur signal which is the RCA's. i would first take the rca's from the head unit and look for the white and red that says REAR. because if the one brown rca that says subwoofer u will need a splitter to use it since it only has one input. so try the rear. then power it up and c if that works and if not then grab another subwoofer or speaker that u might have laying around and wire it up to ur amp and c if u can hear anything out of it if so then u must have ur sub wired wrong. and also make sure your pluggin urRCA'ss on the amp on the INPUT side not the OUTPUT side. and if all that fails then i would grab a rca to headphone jack wire and plug it into my amp and into a ipod orsomethingn and if that works then ur rca outputs on ur head unitdon'tt work. but if itdoesn'tt work and u still cant hear anything then ur amp is bad
