Can someone help me with my car audio system?

I want to put a new system in my car! Someone please help me understand what Im doing.?

  • Ok this is what i wanna do and what i plan to buy. Tell me if im going in the right direction. -2 12" Rockford Fosgate Subs in a ported box, 400rms@4ohms -Either a SoundStorm Amp,750rmsx1@4ohms-- or a Infinity 1600a Amp, 400rmsx1@4ohms. (please tell me which is better for me...the infinity is 300$ the soundstorm is 170$) -Dynamat Trunk Kit -Optima Yellow Top Battery.....I was told to get this so i dont have to use my car battery or alternator...i can just put the yellow top in the trunk and run my amp off of that....... -I know everything that is on this list is good stuff...so dont tell me...oh, get mtx or kicker instead...i dont care...all i wanna know is, is the stuff im getting gonna match up. Will the amps match the subs? or what would be a better selection? Will the dynamat work? Is the yellow top battery a good investment? Is it normal for people to put a battery in the trunk? Things of that nature...or any really good suggestions i have not thought of... PLEASE HELP>>> thanks very much

well i would get the infinity amp, fosgates are good speakers they can pound. and the put the battery in the trunk wont help unless you daisy chain it to the other battery, or eventually it will die from the amp using all the power from it and not being able to recharge by the alternator, which will cause a loss in power to your speakers and no bump bump. but everying else is good. if you want my opinion dont get the battery for the trunk unless you got like three amps and some tvs then you might need the battery. instead buy a power cap that will work better than the battery, but you still need to run the cap to the battery, but it wont stress the battery as much. hope this helps.
