How to get speakers out of Pontiac Sunfire?

2004 Pontiac Sunfire- Sound system problem, no bass?

  • I have a 4 door 2004 Pontiac Sunfire. The sound systems in those cars usually tend to be pretty good, but mine seems to have no bass? I get a low hollow sound as if from a cell phone speaker or something. Sometimes the sound returns to normal, but it hasn't for a while... Also, the sound only comes from the 2 small front speakers, hence no bass.... What could be the problem, and where do I go to get it fixed or how can I fix it? Also, the clock on the radio has also recently stopped lighiting up...

  • Answer:

usually on cars you have front speakers and back speakers the front ones are voice and the back ones take care of the bass buy or borrow a speaker and hook it up in the back if it still doesn't work then its your head unit if you just want music you can buy a cheap sony head unit and speaker package at wall mart for 80 bucks and it sounds better than stock, or you can go all out with some components subs and new head unit or just buy some 6X9's if your radio still works and put them in the back.
