What Amp and head unit paired with this sub?

I'm planning on buying an amp/sub package. Will i need to buy a new head unit and new speakers?

  • I'm on a limited budget of $500 and I'm planning on buying an amp/sub package and I need to know if I'll need new speakers and head unit. It's going in my 03' Ford F250. As of now everything is stock. This is my first time upgrading my sound system so I don't know much about all this.     you need to buy a remote connector for your stock head unit or you can buy a after market head unit which comes with a remote hook up you wont need to get new speakers but i would definitely get a new head unit P.S if your gonna spend 500 on a sub and amp them i would get new speakers because you would have way to much bass and to little song

Look on craigs list or ebay you will get better stuff for our money.

You need to get a head unit capable of working an amp. That refers to most aftermarket radios. The main part is the wiring harness. You need to find a wiring harness for your specific radio that also matches your car model. Best to let people who know what they're doing, do this.
