What do i need for a sound system in my car?

I barely have any knowledge of car audio but I want a sound system in my car. What all do I need?

I plan on putting a sound system in my car when I get one. I know I need subs, an amp, and head unit. What else do I need? And about how much does each component for a complete sound system cost?

  ull need a amp kit, cost: 15-40$ it depends on how good u want your stereo to be, in car audio what u spend is what u get, if u go cheap then u will get cheap sound, if you run subs id think about upgrading ur door speakers and amping them to. id get a mono amp for sub, 4 channel amp for speakers. buy brand name stuff, like alpine, kicker, rockford fosgate, mtx, infinity, poineer. sony's cheaper but they hav alright speakers and good decks, id stay away from there subs tho.
