How do i make my 1998 ford ranger sound good?

How do i make a subwoofer enclosure for a 1996 ford ranger?

  • my friend has a 1996 ford ranger 3 door and he just got a new 12" subwoofer but because of the box he ahs it in and the angle its at it sounds bad. i know its the sub because i have 2 of the exact same one in my room and they sound great. so i was wondering if anyone could tell me what type of box and/or size and/or which way the sub should face to make the bass sound best when sitting in the driver and passenger seats. anything of this sort will help thanks please and thank you

  • Answer:

well i have a 95 ranger and the best setup would be a down-firing box it spreads it through the cab more effectively and doesn't rattle as much as any other box. and the subs in your room have nothing to do with sub in the car your room has way more airspace so its harder for the sub to real feel pressure form it...
