How do I build a sub box?

12 " sub box how to build or what a good stander one would be?

  • i have 2 ,12" subs they are old pyle new wave they both work i dont know the watt or anything on them they where not in the orignianl box im looking for a good plans for a mounting box or where a good place to buy them from if you need know anything about them ill try my best to get you the info thanks ps ( sorry about any spelling )

  • Answer:

first of all, what i would do is go to pyleaudio.com and click on "manuals downloads" under "product support". when you click on it, a page will come up with a place to enter the model number. enter the model number of the subs and get the manual for them. most manuals for subs have a specification page that has the recommended box volume. it is very important that you have the right box volume. if you don't you will not get the maximum performance out of your subs. most people think that they can slap a sub into any old type of box. thats not true. and if it is too far off, you run the risk of having your subs blowing a lot easier and faster than they would if they were in the proper size box.

This is eazy. Pyle take 1 cu ft to 1.25 cu ft for a sealed box. Inside 12" x 12" x 12" per sub. ( 1728 cu in ) http://www.onlyfactorydirect.net/servlet/Detail?no=31 This is a good inexpensive box. Or best buy, walmart. Hope this helps
