What material is better for acoustics?

What is a U.S Acoustics USB 2080 car amp good for?

  • I have a U.S Acoustics USB 2080 car amp at home but I don't know what I can use it for. Is it meant for Subwoofers or can I hook them up to my car speakers to make them louder? Details: * 80 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms * 140 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms * 280 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms * 4-ohm stable in bridged mode * stereo or bridged mono output

  • Answer:

The amp is a discontinued and no longer available model from a fairly good budget brand. They were pretty decent products. Their domain name is now for sale. I don't know if any other companies acquired the brand name or if any other companies even wanted it. http://www.usacoustics.com/ The best use for a 2-channel amp like that is for amping regular speakers. It's is also suitable for powering a relatively low-powered subwoofer. If your speakers are stock rather than aftermarket, you probably don't want to amp them. An amp won't make them louder. It'll just damage or destroy them.
