What would be the best amp for this sub?

I have an Orion HCCA 12 inch sub and a 3000 watt Power Acoustik Amp what would be the best way to wirethis up?

  • I have the 2000 rms 4000 peak Orion HCCA 12...things a beast...and I got a 3000 watt Gothic Series PA amp with it ( i know they arent the best the amp was given to me) what would be the best way to wire this up...I believe the amp is a 2 channel but says mono on it not sure why? Also if someone could locate some specs on building a 12 inch sub box for a camaro (just one 12 for the HCCA) that would be EXTREMELY helpful Thanks Alot!!!

  • Answer:

If the amps a monoblock, there'll be a +ve & -ve terminal for connecting the woofer onto the amp. I'd suggest you connect the coils in Series. Check out this video which explains how: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLLGfs0826c This video might also help, it explains how to build a subwoofer box for a trunk car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWk_WLopmZ8
