What kind of amp do i need for these?

What kind and how many fuses do i need to power an amp i want for my car?

  • i want this amp here along with this speaker kit... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22109_Boss+PH3000D.html and speaker kit-http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23477_Power+Acoustik+AKIT-4.html but i dont know about the fuse thing. my amp says a 25A times 2 so does that mean that i need a 50 amp fuse? the speaker kit has a 60 one but do i need 2 or something because it's 25 times 2. if someone could explain it to me that would be great. also another question.i want to power this sub with the amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23654_Boss+P126DVC.html so will i have sufficient power from my amp because its a dual voice coil and it has 4 ohms resistance. I'm not good with electric stuff lol.

  • Answer:

the 25 times two means there are two 25 amp fuses on the sub. but the amp should come with everything it needs to work except the wiring kit. the DVC or dual voice coil means there are two places you need to hook up the sub, and each one is 4 ohms. * so when you wire them up you need to make sure your amp output is 4 ohm check out crutchfield.com and it will have wiring diagrams that will tell you how to wire the sub so that your getting 4 ohms out of the amp. ** you need to find a 2 channel amp that is 4 ohm stable and then you can put each voice coil plugged into each channel. that would be the easiest. and you wont blow your sub
