I have Sony CDX-F5000 car stereo and need to get a cable that I can connect from the head unit to an iPod.?
-
So basically I need to get a ipod cable that I can hardwire to the head unit. FM Transmitters aren't doing it for me anymore. What cable do I need and where can I get it? Thanks!

Answer:
You can look into a hardwired FM modulator. Similar to an FM transmitter, but it cuts out all radio stations so only one tunes in. This eliminates interference, the need to search for stations, and gives a pretty clear reception. They don't make an iPod specific cable, and your deck has no RCAs so you are very limited. My recommendation would be to upgrade to a newer unit. It's a transition period for newer units coming out so you may be able to get last years models for cheap.
