Car stereo won't power on?
-
My aftermarket in-dash car dvd stereo won't power on after I installed it to my car but it has a standby power. Then I tried connect it directly to the car's battery it works just fine. All fuses checked. What could be the other problem?

Answer:
It sounds like you are not getting switched 12V+ to the red wire on the aftermarket unit. If you are using a wiring harness, check the appropriate pin with a voltmeter. If you wired the new unit directly to the factory wiring, check to make sure the red wire connects to your vehicle's switched 12+ wire and that the wire has power when the ignition is on.
