Subs and Amp for a car?

Car amp turns on but subs don't go?

  • So long story short I had my subs in and working brother took them out now I went to put then back in I hooked up the positive and negative and now the amp turns on but seems to not be powering the subs. I sorta have the ground wire screwed into the amp its 0gauge wire so im having trouble screwing it onto the amp the screw keeps spinning and spinning it doesn't tighten but if u tug on the ground wire it stays there could that be the problem on why it's not powering the subs? All the other wiring is correct I'm confused on why the subs aren't working. A red light turns on the amp but I remember that when I has them hooked up last time there was a red light and a blue light but the blue light isn't on this time. I don't no if tht has anything to do with it or narrowing down the problem. Thanks please respond if u no what the problem is. Also it's a kenwood amp and jl subs. And I have had them working before until I put then back in.

Other answers

The amp is in protect mode for one of the following reasons 1) The subs are wired to an impedance lower than the amps minimum stability 2) The amp has a problem internally (Blown output transistors or power supply components) 3) Bad power/ground/remote lead connection
