Help with front car speakers and deck options 50X4? Please read details...?
-
I have a nice head unit, typical 50 Watts per 4 . I am running my back speakers and sub woofer off my amp, and haven't hooked up my front speakers yet. I can't run them off my amp, no space. So currently my head unit just has RCA's running to the amp. That means there is all unused wattage in the deck itself still? Can I wire the Front and Rear wires together off the head unit for just the front speakers to make it 100x2? Hope that makes sense.... seems like it should work.... Thanks.

Answer:
Yes you can do that without any problems. However, the actual wattage of all head units is only about 14 watts rms for each speaker so you will have only 28 watts per front speaker.
