How to fix my car's CD player?!?
-
This morning my car wouldn't start until I got a boost from my mom's car. After the car was running again, my CD player started making a noise every 6 seconds. It sounds as if it's trying to accept a CD (the quiet gear rolling noise). It says "ERR" now on the screen, my radio still works. The only problem is when I put in a CD, it stays for about 3 seconds then says "ERR" and ejects it. I suspect it's a blown fuse, I have a spare but I don't know how to replace the old one. Could someone walk me through a fuse change please? Thanks!

Answer:
if it has power then it's not a fuse. If you blew a fuse it would cut out the power. You could try to hit the reset button or find the manual and see if it has troubleshooting help for the "ERR". Could be a worn gear or another part gone bad in the player.
