What kind of amp would I need for these speakers to run optimally?

What kind of amp should I use to power my speakers and subs?

  • I have 4 Polk Audio speakers (MM6501 and MM691) Both have 125W RMS, I also have (2) 12"Polk subs (MM1240) with 425W RMS I need an amp(s) to power all of them but I dont know what to get. I want to run all 4 speakers at 100 - 115W and both subs at 400W what kind of amp should I get? Should I get one amp for the speakers and another for the subs? what kind of wire should I use to wire it?

For the 4 speakers.... I would suggest a 4 channel amp that will do AT LEAST 100w RMS to ALL 4 channels at the OHM load of the speakers. Example:[2ohm, 4ohm] For the subs............ I would suggest a monoblock amp [1 channel] class D amp, rated at like 1000w at the OHM load of the subs, and wire them in parrallel Are the subs duel voice coil or single??? this would help decide what's right for you.....
