  never ever go by max power in ratings, go by rms, that is the power that the amp can consistently put out. not what " my grandpa once said his did when it was struck by lightning" look around for an amp that puts out either 2 channels at 450-500w each rms , or a mono amp that can put out 800-1000 rms, a good rule of thumb for amps is, if it is advertised by it's max power, it probably isn't very good some good amps that won't break your budget infinity alpine kicker Audio Que rockford fosgate sundown audio has some incredible amps at competitive prices as well my recommendation is the rockford fosgate punch/power 1000 for cvr's they will push 1000 watts at 1 ohm
