Does audiopipe make good subs?

How do I make my subs loud when I have a factory deck?

  • I have a 2003 Toyota Highlander and I would like to make my subs the loudest they can go. I realize I could just buy another deck.. but i cant. I went by an installer who told me I needed a Re-Q, but when he installed it, it sounded horrible.. like there is no bass what so ever. I know he installed it to my deck, but ive heard it could sound better if i attached it to the factory amp. I had a pioneer 10" sub before and it sounded fantastic (no Re-Q). I went on to get an alpine type R with a Re-Q, and it sounded horrible. So he told me to buy a more powerfull amp.. so i did and it still sounded bad. (no bass) then he told me to buy 2 subs for that amp... so i did... STILL no bass. now im really upset and i just want the damn subs to pound, but they wont make a sound. he told me i need to wait for a break in period. but it still should be really loud right out of the box. PLEASE COULD SOMEONE HELP ME??

  • Answer:

Its cause the pioneer a 2000 watt pioneer hits like a 400 watt alpine.
