Do I need crossover for subs?

I need help with car subwoofers and amps?

  • Alright guys i dont know anything about the technical stuff about bass, i just know i love it. I am buying a SSL EV2500M EVOLUTION 2500W MOSFET Monoblock Amplifier with Remote Subwoofer Level Control. Specs= 2 Ohm Stable Mono-Block Variable low pass crossover: 40-150Hz Fixed high pass crossover (200Hz) Variable 0 to +18dB Bass Boost Variable input gain control and i am also getting SSL SLR12D SLR Series 12" Dual 4 Ohm Voice Coil Subwoofer, 2500 Watts. Specs=Polypropylene Cone Aluminum Voice Coil, 2.5" Diameter Efficiency 1W/1M 96 dB Frequency response 25Hz-2kHz Mounting depth 6-9/16, Can anyone please tell me if these work together well or any problems i can face using these two together and if i buy a sub installation kit is that all that i will need to run these subs? Also if you have time can you tell me how toinstall this. Please make eveyrthing very simple and as if your explainging this to a baby. I am very new at this. Greatly appreciated :D
