Which amp to get for two 1000watt sony xplod subwoofers?
-
1000 watts each, single voice coil, both 4ohms. which amp would be best?
-
Answer:
Well I can't really tell you because that is their peak power. I need to know their RMS each. So if I don't come back on here I'll tell you how to figure it out. If the RMS is 300. So that's 600 Watts RMS combined. You need an amplifier that can push. Bridged: 4 Ohm: 600 watts RMS x 1 channel. It can be more than that just make sure that the amplifier isn't at max power. Or your subwoofers will blow.
