How to wire a new stereo into a 1995 dodge intrepid?

What color is the ignition wire for a 2008 dodge avenger so i can connect my stereo amp?

• hi i have a 2008 dodge avenger 2.7L and im trying to connect my amp to my stereo....but i need to know what color the wire is and where the wire is located..............im trying to connect a R.E.M blue cable from my amp to my stereo.............i need to know which cable and what color for my 2008 dodge avenger car......lol....thanks.....let me know whats up!   As you can see by the wire colors you listed, there is no accessory wire or amp turn-on wire at the radio cavity because they are controlled through data. My first suggestion would be to check to see if your cigarette lighters are constant or accessory. Easy way to test is to see if they work with the car off. If they do, move on, because you'll have to catch your wire elsewhere. If they only function when the vehicle is on or in the accessory position then this would be the best place to tap in. Make sure you fuse this wire with a 1 amp fuse. If the cigarette lighter is constant, you will need to go to the ignition harness. The accessory wire is a negative trigger through a resistor so you are kind of stuck using the ignition wire. According to a schematic, the ignition wire should be pink. Again, fuse this wire with a 1 amp fuse. Also, prior to tapping into any wires, make sure you meter and test them.
